How it works
The Smartboatia Hub is equipped with two powerful WiFi antennas:
One antenna creates a secure onboard WiFi network called “Smartboatia”.
Connect all your devices – phones, tablets, laptops, smart battery monitors, satellite phones, or even your stereo – and they can all communicate with each other, even far out at sea.The second antenna connects to the Internet.*
Simply use the Smartboatia App to join any available external hotspot – like marina WiFi, a mobile hotspot from your phone, or even Starlink.
Once the Hub is online, all connected devices on board go online too.
💡 The Hub also uses the internet connection to sync your logbook and trip data – so you can relive your journey from home or let others follow you live.
*Requires an external hotspot such as marina WiFi, a mobile phone hotspot, portable SIM router, or satellite solution like Starlink.
You can see which devices are connected to your Hub at anytime.
You can also assign static IP addresses to devices. This is helpful if your device comes with an app that needs an address to connect; thus saving you frequent reconfiguration.
